Flashable using TWRP Recovery

I recommend you to flash P16 Stock ROM using SP Flash Tool first so that you will have a complete upgraded base.

This is the TWRP created by Jemmini. The pack includes stock recovery, TWRP, scatter, and latest stable SuperSU for Ulefone Metal. TWRP and stock recovery are from 7-28 ROM, but shouldn’t cause an issue with newer ROMs.

Flash recovery_TWRP.img using the enclosed scatter with SP Flash Tool.

ROOT PROCEDURE FOR ULEFONE PARIS FIRMWARE MM 6.0 OFFICIAL (11/08/2016 VERSION)

1. Download and unzip the archive: http://goo.gl/1NOeYn (TWRP+BOOT)

2. Download and put SuperSU on your phone or SD: take it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053  (only version TWRP STABLE)

3. If you never used SP Flash Tool, install before the driver of Ulefone Paris.

4. Turn off the phone, remove the battery, open SP Flash Tool, select the scatter file from the archive, select RECOVERY.img and BOOT.img, click Download, connect your phone via USB and wait.

5. When everything is Ok, and you see on the center of your screen a green banner, disconnect the phone from the USB, turn on holding down the ON button and VOLUME +.

6. Choose "Recovery Mode" using VOLUME + and confirm the selection pressing VOLUME -

7. When start TWRP, select INSTALL, look for your SUPERSU file saved before, flash and reboot the phone.

8. MY COMPLIMENTS!! NOW YOUR PARIS WITH MM OFFICIAL, IS ROOTED!!!

Dear users of Ulefone Paris,

The second update on Android 6.0 has been released for your phone.  Please check under settings – about phone – wireless update and download. If it has not come to you, it will do in a few hours.

The 20160829 firmware will include the following changes.

1.Proximity sensor problem fixed.

2. Capacitive key backlight restored.

3.LED notification problem fixed.

4.GPS optimization.

5.Systematic optimization.

Before installing the update, please back up your data and remove SD card in case of errors.

Card Flash Guidance:

1. Download the Card Flash ROM

2. Put it on the root category of your phone storage or SD card.

3. Go to Settings – About Phone – Wireless Update, click the menu icon on the upright corner, click “local update“, choose the ROM to install, and then wait for the upgrade to complete itself.

It works very well.
Does not work: fingerprint scanner, proximity sensor, the Home button does not wake up the phone.
The rest runs smoothly.

I would recommend, although it still requires refine.

Maybe someone can run the HOME button and fingerprint scanner?

02.09.2016: Add a update to MIUI 8 (6.8.11) – the file I found on russian forum (thanks to Bosanova1917 – http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=677076&view=findpost&p=52661926).

Everything works fine. I do update without wipe.

WARNING: This version is different compared to that of 11/08/2016, because Ulefone solved the problem on the kernel.

Installation:

Via SPFlashtools:
Download the zip file and uncompress it, inside you have the recovery.img and the scatter file needed for flashtools installation. Ussual way to proceed with Flashtools.
Very important, when you get the green tick, disconnect your device and boot on recovery mode, in case you don´t do that and you restart system normally this recovery will be changed by the system for the original one.

Via Flashify:
Install it from Playstore, open app and go to: Recovery image>Choose a file>go where you have this recovery downloaded and sellect it>Normal way>Reboot.
It will rebbot in recovery mode and done.

Via other TWRP:
Boot on recovery mode, pick install and then image, browse where you have the files recovery.img and then just install.

Finally, after a series of tests and spare time that lately more and find it less, I managed to reach a compromise acceptable to release the new "PERFECT ROM", first alternative ROM to the only official Marshmallow firmware for our beloved Paris.
Here is a list of the features of this ROM, with the changes made:

PERFECT ROM MM V1:

1) Based on the latest version of the stock firmware (29/08/2016);
2) BusyBox included;
3) Recovery TWRP included;
4) BOOT.IMG unlocked;
5) Firmware fully translated into Italian (some applications had not the Italian language);
6) Customizing the boot logo;
7) Customization of the boot animation;
Make changes and improvement to build.prop;
9) Added notification tones.

The ROM must be flashed as if it were in effect an official firmware, then using SP Flash Tool.
My council staff, it is a ROM-based on official firmware, who want avoid losing your personal data (applications, etc.), can make advance the backup of your existing firmware and, after you install and configure this, restore its back-up created ONLY PART OF USERDATA !!!! You will have the new firmware, but with your personal data. On how to back up, I refer you to post already abundantly treated on site.
I avoid putting screenshoot, would not make sense as a question of changing the official firmware that we all know.
As you can see, in this ROM is not integrated the ROOT. The thing is done on purpose, in order to give way at all to use their improved firmware, but not rooted, which can constrain the use of some applications (Pokemon-GO as an example).
In case you want to put the root, you need only download it from HERE and install it using TWRP, the ROM has been prepared and you will have to restart in order to have the root.
Since this is a first version, I think it goes without saying that all users are welcome for tips, questions, clarifications, report problems and mistakes and all you can relate to this ROM ONLY.

Installation

- First time flashing GearCM 13.0 to your Ulefone Future?

Install latest Stock ROM to avoid any issue. Available here: Development & Support Thread

Install my Boot Menu Unlocker (linked in the Miscellaneous area), you will find a guide (README) in the archive.

Install TWRP/GearRecovery. Available here: Development & Support Thread

Reboot to Recovery (use the 2-button combo to get into the Boot Menu, then choose "Recovery Mode").

ALERT: if your device doesn't boot to TWRP, you will need to repeat the TWRP flashing procedure. Remember to not boot the device after flashing TWRP otherwise the Stock ROM will overwrite any customization you did before.

As soon as your device reboot into TWRP for the first time, you will see a message. Accept it.

Wipe Everything by following this order: "Wipe" -> "Advanced Wipe" -> Check Everything (System, Cache, Data, Internal Storage) -> "Swipe to Wipe".

Now go back to the main menu by pressing two/three times the Back Button.

Reboot your device into recovery mode again. ("Reboot" -> "Recovery")

You will see the same first-boot message, again accept it.

Your device is now super-clean. Go to "Mount", "Enable MTP" (if it says "Disable MTP" you are good to go), and connect the device to your PC.

Copy the latest available GearCM ROM on your Internal Storage, together with OpenGapps if you need them.

Press "Disable MTP" and go back to the main menu.

In order to install the ROM: "Install" -> Choose the .zip ROM Archive -> "Swipe to confirm Flash"

If you need to install OpenGapps, follow the same install procedure (the previous one) with the .zip OpenGapps archive.

Done! You can now reboot the phone (always back, then "Reboot", "System") to enjoy the ROM 

- Upgrading from another build of GearCM 13.0?

Reboot into Recovery using 2-button-combo

Do a Backup! (if you need to)

Install the ROM: "Install" -> Choose the .zip ROM Archive -> "Swipe to confirm Flash"

Press "Wipe Cache/Dalvik" and Swipe again.

Done! You can now reboot the phone (always back, then "Reboot", "System") to enjoy the updated ROM 

Known Issues (regarding latest available build)

Please do not report bugs if it is already listen in the list of known issues

WiFi Tethering isn't working. (RIL crashes as soon as it gets tethered)

Camera HDR doesn't work. (seems to be too much dependent on Mediatek trash)

Camera Auto-Exposure is less efficient than how is on Stock ROM (again Mediatek trash…)

FM Radio doesn't work (will be implemented soon)

If present, other bugs will be added (and maybe fixed) based on users feedback.

Reporting Bugs

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

REPORT BUGS IN THIS THREAD ONLY

Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)

If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow. Note: If you can provide the latest night/build that the bug didn't exist, it would greatly help in tracking down what caused it.

1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.

2). Remove the battery and insert it again (if the battery is removable)

3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device

4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.

5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe

6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6753_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).

8). Click "Start all".

9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,

 remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.

10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.

11). Completed.
